First sight of WFC 2010
Thursday afternoon:
I registered, and a woman whose name tag read “Minion” handed me a badge configured to hold business cards and two pens as well as a name tag; a water bottle in a water bottle holster; and shoulder-bag full of books. I said something coherent like, “For me? Is this standard?” Turns out it is. On my way to my room to stow my swag, I passed through the bar. It was full of people wearing WFC badges, black t-shirts, snarky buttons, and steampunk gear. All grinning and talking a mile a minute. And my heart smiled.

I’ve always loved the swag you get just for showing up at the bigger cons. Plus the random stuff you can pick up during the con.
I was blow away too. So much good stuff. I was surprised. And that was just the beginning…
